- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the lemon juice and zest.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before serving.
Notes
- For an extra touch, glaze the cake with a lemon icing after it has cooled.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
