Ingredients

- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside to marinate.
- In another bowl, combine flour and butter until crumbly. Gradually add water to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Place apple mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the pies until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- For extra sweetness, sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
- These pies can be made ahead of time and reheated as needed.
