Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Slowly add heavy cream while stirring continuously.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar with higher molasses content.
- Can be served warm over ice cream.
