Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add buttermilk and stir until combined.
- Fold in the sliced onions.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm.

- For extra flavor, add chopped herbs to the batter.
