  • 2 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sliced apples with sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream; beat until fully blended.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and layer the apple mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes until set.
  7. Let cool before removing from the springform pan and serve.

Notes

  • For best results, use tart apples.
  • Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top before serving for extra indulgence.
