- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add in melted butter and stir until crumbly.
- Press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Layer the sliced apples on top of the crumb mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use a combination of sweet and tart apples.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
