Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 4 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the ground beef and onion, cooking until the beef is browned.
  3. Drain excess fat and stir in the ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, and beef broth.
  4. Add the uncooked rice to the skillet, stir well, and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  6. Stir in the cheese and crumbled bacon, cooking until the cheese is melted.
