- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
- In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
- In the same skillet, melt butter, then whisk in flour to create a roux.
- Slowly add milk, whisking constantly until thickened.
- Stir in cheese until melted. Add salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Combine macaroni and cheese sauce in a large bowl, then fold in crumbled bacon.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the cheese sauce.
- This dish can be made ahead and baked when ready to serve.
