- 4 cups stale bread, cubed
- 3 large ripe bananas, sliced

- 1 cup brown sugar

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup dark rum
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and sliced bananas.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and bananas, ensuring all bread is soaked.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Drizzle melted butter and dark rum over the top.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle chopped nuts on top before baking.
- This dish is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
