Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until cooked through.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour half of the beef mixture over the potatoes, then half of the cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, and cheese.
  6. Pour the beef broth evenly over the top.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
