Beef-Stuffed Pasta Shells are a delightful family meal that combines tender pasta with a savory beef filling.

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Mix in ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff each pasta shell with the beef mixture.
  6. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  7. Place the stuffed shells in the dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce on top.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top of the sauce.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sauté onions and bell peppers with the beef.
  • Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set.
