- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Mix in ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the beef mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed shells in the dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top of the sauce.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For added flavor, sauté onions and bell peppers with the beef.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set.
