- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form into patties and cook in the same skillet until browned on both sides.
- Remove patties and add butter and oil to the skillet.
- Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Stir in flour, cooking for one minute.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring until thickened.
- Add thyme and return patties to the skillet, simmering for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot, topped with crispy turkey bacon.
Notes
- For an extra flavor boost, consider adding mushrooms to the sauce.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
