- 1 pound chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then add to the skillet.
- Add the broccoli and cook until tender.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- This dish pairs well with steamed rice.
