- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Slice the potatoes thinly and layer half in the dish.
- Mix cream, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the Parmesan and Gruyere cheese on top.
- Add the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with a salad for a complete meal.
