- 1 box vanilla cake mix
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- After baking, let the cake cool slightly and then poke holes in the top with a fork.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cake, making sure to fill the holes.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before spreading the whipped cream on top.
- Sprinkle with chopped pecans as a garnish.
Notes
- This cake is best served chilled.
- For extra decadence, drizzle more caramel sauce on top before serving.
