Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
  5. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in apples and half of the caramel sauce.
  7. Divide the batter into liners and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool before drizzling with remaining caramel sauce.
