- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup chopped apples
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
- Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in apples and half of the caramel sauce.
- Divide the batter into liners and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Allow to cool before drizzling with remaining caramel sauce.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.
- These cupcakes can be topped with cream cheese frosting for added indulgence.
