- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in water, one tablespoon at a time, until the mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
- In another bowl, combine the apples, caramel sauce, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Place filling on one side of each dough circle, fold over, and seal edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
