  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla, and mix until smooth.
  5. Slowly add the boiling water and mix until well combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Once cool, place one cake layer on a serving plate and fill with caramel sauce.
  10. Top with the second layer and drizzle more caramel on top.
