- 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and butter, and heat until melted.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then stir in eggs, vanilla, and salt.
- Spread chopped pecans evenly in the pie crust.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the pecans.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until set.
- Allow to cool before serving.
