- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then mix until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with sugar, vanilla, and an egg until creamy.
- Spread half the brownie batter in the prepared dish, layer with the cheesecake mixture, then top with the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
