Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then mix until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with sugar, vanilla, and an egg until creamy.
  6. Spread half the brownie batter in the prepared dish, layer with the cheesecake mixture, then top with the remaining brownie batter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
