- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Add cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Spread the cream cheese mixture over it, then top with the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For an extra chocolatey flavor, add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
- These brownies can be served warm or at room temperature.
