  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add 2 eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, then stir in the dry ingredients.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add 1 egg and vanilla.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Top with the cheesecake mixture, then layer the remaining brownie batter over the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  8. Cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can swirl in chocolate chips or nuts in the brownie layer.
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped cream on top for an extra indulgent treat.
