Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions into 1/2-inch rings and separate the rings.
  2. In one bowl, place the flour. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each onion ring in flour, then egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown.
  5. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
