Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • optional toppings (sour cream, salsa)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned and drain excess fat.
  3. Add the taco seasoning and water, stir, and let simmer.
  4. Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut into rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture and some shredded cheese on each rectangle.
  6. Fold the dough over and seal the edges.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
  • These can also be made ahead of time and frozen.
