- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, almond extract, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly add in the flour, baking powder, and salt, alternating with the milk.
- Gently fold in the chopped cherries.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, top with almond frosting or a cherry glaze.
- Make sure to chop the cherries finely for even distribution in the batter.
