Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  4. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread evenly over the brownie layer.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer and swirl gently.
  7. Cover with remaining brownie batter and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before cutting into squares.
