- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread evenly over the brownie layer.
- Drop spoonfuls of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer and swirl gently.
- Cover with remaining brownie batter and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Top with fresh cherries for an extra touch.
