Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the oats, flour, sugars, and butter until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. Pour the caramel sauce over the crust, then sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
  5. Top with the remaining mixture and press down lightly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • These bars can be customized by adding nuts or different types of chocolate.
  • For a chewier texture, bake a few minutes less.
