- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the oats, flour, sugars, and butter until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the crust, then sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
- Top with the remaining mixture and press down lightly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- These bars can be customized by adding nuts or different types of chocolate.
- For a chewier texture, bake a few minutes less.
