- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup toffee bits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; mix well until smooth.
- Stir in the boiling water until fully blended.
- Pour the batter into prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Once cooled, layer the cake with caramel sauce and sprinkle toffee bits in between layers.
- Frost the cake with remaining caramel sauce and top with additional toffee bits.
Notes
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.
- For added crunch, you can sprinkle extra toffee bits on top.
