Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate chips and unsalted butter together until smooth.
- Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Fold in the flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are firm but the centers look slightly underbaked.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a richer taste, use dark chocolate chips instead of semisweet.
- Make sure not to overbake for the perfect lava center.
