- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for mousse
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and melted butter until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- While brownies are baking, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Once brownies are cooled, spread the mousse evenly over the top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For an extra chocolatey flavor, you can add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
- Serve with whipped cream or fresh berries for garnish.
