Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil, stirring constantly for 3 minutes.
- Pour the butter mixture over the crackers, ensuring they are evenly covered.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let sit for a few minutes to soften.
- Spread the chocolate evenly and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator until set, then break into pieces.
