- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat and bring to a boil.
- Pour the butter mixture over the crackers, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
- Once melted, spread the chocolate evenly and top with nuts if desired.
- Allow to cool before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- For a festive touch, drizzle with white chocolate after it cools.
