  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter until warm and the butter is melted.
  3. Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then place in a greased bowl and cover to rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough and spread with a mixture of apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, and raisins.
  6. Roll the dough up and cut into slices.
  7. Place rolls in a baking pan and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
