- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together, then swirl it into the cake batter using a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and poke holes all over the top with a fork.
- In another bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Pour this mixture over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
- Let the cake cool to room temperature before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the cake batter.
- Serve with whipped cream for an even more indulgent treat.
