Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the cake mix package instructions.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake as directed on the box.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Poke holes all over the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- In a bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk with additional cinnamon, then pour over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the cake and top with chopped pecans, if using.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
- You can substitute the yellow cake mix with a spice cake mix for a more robust flavor.
