- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, milk, and eggs.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes then remove from the pan.
- Combine granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss the warm donuts in the mixture to coat.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh baking powder.
- Donuts taste best when eaten fresh.
