- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in the buttermilk until smooth.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of nutmeg.
- Using toasted pecans can enhance the nutty flavor.
