- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and buttermilk.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and additional cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter and top with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add nuts or chocolate chips.
- Serve with a glaze or powdered sugar on top for added sweetness.
