- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased bundt pan. Sprinkle a generous layer of cinnamon sugar on top of the batter.
- Add the remaining batter and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a sweeter touch, drizzle with icing after the cake has cooled.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
