Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  5. Pour half of the batter into a greased bundt pan. Sprinkle a generous layer of cinnamon sugar on top of the batter.
  6. Add the remaining batter and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a sweeter touch, drizzle with icing after the cake has cooled.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
