Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Marsala wine
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge them in flour.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and garlic. Cook until the mushrooms are soft.
- Pour in the Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for about 10 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat, stir in the butter, and serve.
Notes
- Pair the Chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes or pasta for a complete meal.
- For added flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like parsley or thyme.
