- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, dissolve the sugar over medium heat to make caramel.
- Pour the caramel into a flan mold and let it cool.
- In a bowl, whisk sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the mixture over the hardened caramel.
- In a larger pan, place the flan mold and fill it halfway with water.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes until set.
- Let it cool and then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
- To serve, carefully invert the mold onto a plate.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of salt to the mixture.
- Make sure to let the flan cool completely for best texture.
