- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the turkey bacon and cook until crispy.
- Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the heavy cream, and season with salt and black pepper.
- Allow to simmer for an additional 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like thyme or parsley.
- If you want a thinner soup, add more broth.
