  • 8 flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the chopped onion, garlic powder, and chili powder, cooking until the onion is tender.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese.
  3. Place about ¼ cup of the beef mixture onto each tortilla, fold in the sides, and roll tightly.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry the chimichangas until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil before serving.
