- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup diced onions
- 1 cup diced green bell peppers
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add onions and bell peppers, cooking until soft.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper, cooking for an additional minute.
- Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese until melted.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface, place 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center, and brush edges with beaten egg.
- Fold the bottom up over the filling, then fold the sides in, rolling tightly to seal.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot, and fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- Serve with marinara or ranch for dipping.
