Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced green bell peppers
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add onions and bell peppers, cooking until soft.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper, cooking for an additional minute.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese until melted.
  5. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface, place 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center, and brush edges with beaten egg.
  6. Fold the bottom up over the filling, then fold the sides in, rolling tightly to seal.
  7. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot, and fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
