- 8 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup strawberries, chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries until well mixed.
- Place a spoonful of the mixture onto each wonton wrapper.
- Fold and seal the wontons by wetting the edges with water.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the wonton bites until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with additional powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of lemon zest to the filling.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to avoid soggy wontons.
