- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Add garlic and mushrooms to the skillet, cooking until mushrooms are soft.
- Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard, simmering for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- This dish pairs well with rice or pasta.
