Easy Eggnog Waffles

Light, fluffy, and spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon, these eggnog waffles are a festive treat perfect for holiday breakfasts or brunch.

  • Total Time: 15-20 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 waffles 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups eggnog
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Batter:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, eggnog, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
    • Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined (do not overmix).
  • Preheat and Grease Waffle Iron:
    • Set the waffle iron to medium-high heat (375°F) and grease lightly with melted butter or non-stick spray.
  • Cook the Waffles:
    • Pour ½ to ¾ cup of batter onto the waffle iron and close the lid.
    • Cook for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
    • Serve hot with toppings like whipped cream, maple syrup, or spiced pecans.

Notes

  • Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking for extra fluffiness.
  • For crispier waffles, cook an additional 30 seconds after the timer ends.
  • To make dairy-free waffles, use almond milk eggnog and coconut oil instead of butter.
