- 1/2 cup unsalted butter

- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups pastry cream
- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan, combine water and butter; bring to a boil.
- Add flour and salt, stirring until the mixture forms a ball.
- Remove from heat; add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool, then fill with pastry cream and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
- For best results, use room temperature eggs.
- Make sure the puffs are completely cool before filling.
