- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup key lime juice
- 1 tablespoon lime zest
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool.
- In another bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and lime zest.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust.
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Allow pie to cool, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- For the topping, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spread whipped cream over the pie before serving.
Notes
- For a twist, try adding a hint of coconut to the filling.
- Serve with lime wedges for an extra kick.
