- 1 cup pinto beans
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups green chile, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Soak the pinto beans overnight in water.
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add soaked beans, green chiles, beef broth, cumin, chili powder, and salt.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until beans are tender.
- Serve hot with your choice of toppings.

- For a creamier texture, blend a portion of the soup and mix it back in.
